Cats vs. Alarm Clocks

There are alot of pro's to having a cat, one of which, is they could conceivably replace the alarm clock. My cat makes sure I am awake by a certian time everyday, 5:00 seems to be the magic number. She will first give the initial "Meoww" and wait....much like a snooze button.  A few minutes will pass followed by another vocal urging. .........And then a "Meowwwwww", unlike the first two, this sound is louder and longer and downright annoying. She has also moved out of "pet her so she will go back to sleep range".

If this fails, she will spring onto the bed, stealthily make her way to my pillow and bat my face. At which time, I (still pretending to be asleep so she will just go away) roll over and hide my face in the pillow. Next she will proceed to chew on my hair until I have to cover my whole head with the blanket. Of course, I cannot sleep under the covers like that.... (and she knows that) ....so I have to get up!

Success, the new and improved cat clock has once again kept time in motion. You never have to worry if you set your clock, or if a power outage has turned off your clock, or if you hit the off button instead of the snooze....

Unfortunatley, cats do not ...(or will not),... grasp the concept of  Saturdays, Sundays or snow-days....and you cannot un-plug a cat...or throw it against the wall...PETA would have alot to say about that! I know, I know, some would say  "just leave the door closed" ...LOL  anyone who has a cat knows this never works, they will just scratch the heck out of the door, and you have to get out of bed to chase them away....There you go...you are out of bed!!

Yes, alarm clocks have their place, but they don't ...(or won't)...curl up on your lap and purr like a cat.....

Is it just me?

I wonder sometimes if I am going crazy....So many thoughts and pictures rush around in my head...like those schools of fish being surrounded by sharks on those National Geographic Specials...
It makes it hard to start or even finish my glass projects. It is as if I am afraid I will run out of time...so I start one, begin another and am still creating something else in my mind at the same time....some say it is "the creative juices"...I am leaning more to OCD...
My husband laughs and says I am a perfectionist, which is nuts cuz nothing is ever perfect...

Well wait...there was that night ..along time ago in NYC....
